PEACE OF POSITIVITY

Dear Friend in Peace,

As people of peace, rather than moan about what's falling apart in our world and demoralize ourselves and everyone around us, we choose to focus on all that is positive and uplifting. We celebrate as we see millions of people worldwide literally speaking up and standing up for "Liberty and Justice for all."

Neighbors are helping neighbors and strangers are helping strangers because we are profoundly connected and we care about one another. What happens to you, impacts me and vice versa. With every positive thought and action, we help create and spread a culture of loving kindness and hope. These gentle expressions of brother and sisterhood change everything within ourselves, others, our nation, and our world, shifting them to become more positive and peaceful.

Instead of falling prey to fear and anger when we hear words of hate, we simply breathe them out of our minds and let them float away as we focus on the goodness of others and return our hearts and minds to the Peace Of Positivity.

1. Place your hand(s) on your heart.
2. Breathe out the nonsense.
3. Breathe in peace.
4. Continue 2 & 3 until you feel peaceful.

And here's a flower! I chose this photo to go with our focus on the Peace of Positivity because this Rose Rush (Florida native wildflower) is one of my favorite flowers and speaks to me of elegance and all things beautiful and positive. When I see one, my heart opens and dances in joyous delight. It grows on a tall skinny stem that looks absolutely too delicate to support anything, let alone such magnificent beauty. Amazingly enough, it is tossed about by winds and never looks disheveled or damaged. Everything about this flower brings joy and positivity. It is delicate, intriguing and gorgeous. May you savor its beauty and may it fill your heart with peace. May it inspire us to stand tall in our commitment to positivity and peace.

Life is too precious to spend it in fear and anger, we can and do choose to stand tall in positive thoughts, words, and actions. There is a fabulous song about positive thinking written by Harold Arlen and lyrics by Johnny Mercer. The chorus speaks to our focus on the Peace of Positivity:

"You've got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
And latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between"

What fun to sing ourselves Positive and Peaceful!

Here's another joyous reminder that we can choose our thoughts and when we choose positive ones we feel peaceful!

“The mind is a garden;
your thoughts are the seeds.
You can grow flowers,
or you can grow weeds.”
— David Maze

I love this poem because it’s funny, true, and powerful. May it help us remember to toss out the weeds and focus on those beautiful, positive flowers and the peace they bring to our hearts and minds.

Life is too precious to spend it in fear. We can, and do, choose to stand tall in positive thoughts, words, and actions.

Thank you each and all for choosing peace in your thoughts, words, and actions. I welcome, encourage, and enjoy your comments, and ideas for creating more peace in YOUR heart along with any other comments and suggestions.

Yours in peace and love always,
Donna
