PEACE OF IMAGINATION

Dear Friend in Peace,

My mother was a resourceful and creative person. She made up games for us to play in the car. These flights of fancy were most welcome since my dad was determined to drive us to every state in the nation on our yearly vacations. Much to my dismay, his goal was to say we had been to each state, not to get out of the car and explore, ride horses, or experience the places we passed through... Fortunately, mother's powerful and playful imagination lured me into creating long silly stories with her and we benefited through the laughter, joy and peace we created through our imaginations.

As an adult, I still delight in creating fanciful, joyous, and peaceful stories out of whatever comes into my sight.

Throughout my life, imagination has been a sweet blessing. Sometimes, it's because I just want to have fun, to play and to leave the seriousness that I can be behind me. Other times, imagination has helped me see beyond what is to what could be. Imagination can be the Light, the spark, the power behind change within ourselves and our world.

"Everything you can imagine is real."
- Pablo Picasso

Please join me now in imagining Peace Prevailing on Earth. Let's jump start that process by choosing peace in every breath and every step. We can imagine a world where there is a fair deal for everyone, everywhere! Yes, PEACE can Prevail on Earth and it begins with us through our powerful imaginations.

As Ernie and I approached this tree at Myakka River State Forest, my mind turned the Pine Tree into a prima ballerina posing with upward, stretched arms and hair trailing behind her. Suddenly, she spun forward in a dramatic scene accompanied by music only she, the other trees, and I could hear. When the performance was over, I gave her a standing ovation as I laughed with a heart full of joy and peace.

Let's imagine Peace prevailing in our hearts, our communities, our nation, and our world. Let's imagine Peace prevailing through all beings with compassion, kindness and love flowing from heart to heart.

Let's commit to holding the vision of what we want through our powerful imaginations and see peace for everyone: ourselves, our families, our friends, our neighbors, and our world.

Thank you for choosing peace in your thoughts, words and actions. I welcome, encourage, and enjoy your comments and suggestions.

Yours in peace and love always,
Donna
