PEACE OF PERSPECTIVE - 2

Dear Friend in Peace,

As a young woman, I felt compelled to clean my home thoroughly and frequently: it took me forever! As I pondered my options, a delightful solution presented itself. My vision was perfect when wearing contacts, but not nearly as good when wearing glasses. All I had to do was take out the contacts (change my perspective) and wear my glasses when cleaning in order to complete the task in half the time! After all, I could no longer see every speck of dirt!

Shifting my perspective also allowed me to see as angels on high do: no minute details of dust or dirt, but simply the beauty of home which was clean enough. It was liberating, joyous, and peaceful!

Might a different perspective help us be more peaceful? When we look at people and situations from a higher or a different perspective, we avoid being distracted by irrelevant details/differences and simply see and relate to other humans with compassion. We have no need or ability to focus on every error, every detail which might allow us to separate ourselves from our brothers and sisters.  A higher perspective offers us the joyous and peaceful opportunity to send compassion and love to ALL. As we do, we become more of the peace and loving kindness we came to be.

"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

What an amazing, inspiring, and breathtaking flight my friend Judi and I experienced as we flew in a tiny little plane to land near Denali. It was a joyous, inspiring and unforgettable experience! It's a marvel I was able to take any photos, given my state of transfixion and delight.

Our new perspective on high showed us the blessing of seeing splendor everywhere without any of the details which might offer our minds the opportunity to get involved in seeing "problems." All we saw, all we experienced was splendor, awe, gratitude, and peace. Well, not quite all, I giggled and laughed a lot with the joy of it all!

May we recognize the wisdom, joy, and peace we can offer ourselves and others when we choose to change our perspective and look from on high rather than get bogged down in details that could allow us to forget we love one another. As we change our perspective and view from on high, miracles of peace and love flow within us and out into our world.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts, successes, challenges, and ideas for creating more peace in YOUR heart.
Thank you for choosing peace in your thoughts, words and actions. I welcome, encourage, and enjoy your comments and suggestions.

Yours in peace and love always,
Donna
