PEACE OF CELEBRATIONS AND OF RESPITE

Dear Friend in Peace,

Our celebrations have been of a wonderful gathering in Tennessee of Ernie's kind and loving daughters and their families including his/our granddaughter Kylee, whose 16th birthday we just celebrated! We also celebrated along with the rest of the USA, our nation's 250th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4th, 1776! It was a powerful, joyous, loving, and peaceful combination.

Respite is essential to peace as it goes straight to the core of Being rather than Doing. Our minds can be willing to tell us we must do more, while our wise hearts simply say:

"Be here now."
Ram Dass

"Being here now," today has meant watching a glorious sunrise from the plane and then watching clouds of various sizes and density stream by the plane window as we gently descended from the heavens. Respite for us has also meant sleep given our short 2-hour slumber last night.

When in Mother Nature, I look up frequently because I love trees and clouds. Their presences ignite the peace of celebration and create the peace of respite within my heart. Ernie and I were exploring at Carlton Reserve when a flash of joy caught my eye, so I stopped immediately and pulled out my camera. The sight above sparked shivers of joy and profound peace within my body. Everything else fell away. All that remained was joy and peace within and without. No words, nothing else existed.

May we listen to our wise hearts.

May we choose both celebrations and respites as paths home to peace.

May you feel and savor the joy and peace as well.

May peace prevail in your heart.

Thank you each and all for choosing peace in your thoughts, words, and actions. I welcome, encourage, and enjoy your comments, and ideas for creating more peace in YOUR heart along with any other comments and suggestions.

Yours in peace and love always,

Donna
