PEACE OF FEEDING OUR SOULS

Sill Branch Falls in Cherokee National Forest is a joyous destination that Ernie and I savored with his precious daughters and their families last week. As you can see and feel, it is mesmerizingly beautiful and nourishing to heart and soul. The sound of the water is gentle and playful. Being at the bottom of the Falls I felt miniscule, grateful, happy, and filled with inner delight. All present were grinning from ear to ear and frolicking in their own ways. Our cups runneth over...

Dear Friend in Peace,

While the method of feeding our Souls may be different for each of us, the necessity of doing so is the same if we plan to be peaceful and bring peace to all we meet. Just as we need fuel and care for our bodies, our souls literally call out for nourishment and loving attention. If they are hungry and scared, they cannot anchor peace in our hearts and lives.

My soul calls for these essentials:
• Meditation
• Being in Mother Nature, especially around trees and water
• Being in my garden
• Silence
• Music
• Wisdom from Wise Souls

Your soul may call for something(s) totally different because we all come with unique goals and means of filling our souls. What matters is not the form of feeding our souls, but the willingness and commitment to do so daily.

As we live this commitment to our spiritual well-being and peace, our hearts will be singing, dancing, and rejoicing because they know that when we feed our souls, we are able to be the peace, love, and compassion we came to be.

It is vital to practice soul-filling daily to ensure we don't deflate like a flat tire and run out of soul nourishment. Given the current state of our nation and our world, such soul nourishment is more essential than ever, and you too, may find yourself running on empty once in a while. Instead of feeding our stomachs once a day, we tend to eat more often. Let's do the same with our soul meals and consume soul nourishment throughout each day. Habits build and strengthen over time so our daily commitment matters.

Yes, there are problems in our lives, our nation, and our world, but this is our time, our time to live. We are more than bodies, we are sacred souls come to bring and be Light, Love, and Peace and this we can, and shall do as long as we remember to tend to feeding not only our bodies, but also our souls.

"Every moment of light and dark is a miracle.
And each miracle nourishes the soul if you allow it."
- Walt Whitman

May you feel and savor the joy and peace as well.

May this sight nourish your heart and soul with joy, peace, and love.

May Peace Prevail in your heart now.

Thank you each and all for choosing peace in your thoughts, words, and actions. I welcome, encourage, and enjoy your comments, and ideas for creating more peace in YOUR heart along with any other comments and suggestions.

Yours in peace and love always,

Donna
