Finding the right photo for oneness and inclusion was easy since Mother Nature is our wisdom keeper. I chose this photo of a Live Oak Tree because it shows oneness and inclusion perfectly. The tree does not reject any of its hitchhikers, but welcomes them and all thrive together, just as our world does when we accept one another, we all thrive together. The hitchhikers here include Butterfly orchids (Encyclia tampensis), Southern needleleaf (Tillandsia setacea), Ball moss (Tillandsia recurvata) and White Lichen to name a few of the different species living together in peace on the Live Oak tree.

PEACE OF ONENESS AND INCLUSION
Dear Friend in Peace,
There could be no better spokesperson for the Peace of Oneness and Inclusion than the woman who almost single-handedly managed to convince the UN to ratify a Charter of Human Rights in December of 1948. Eleanor Roosevelt constantly stood up throughout her life, spoke up, and did her all to make life better for everyone, not just a few special people. She understood that Peace is not possible without Liberty and Justice for All because we are one.
Our fundamental oneness with others is easy to see and experience in challenging times. Everyone comes together to help one another because it’s natural to pitch in and be the solution when there is a flood or other disaster. At such times, it can be easy for us to remember we truly are one.
Our nation has thrived because of our diversity and our acceptance of peoples of all nationalities, creeds, and races as is evidenced by our nickname: “the melting pot.”
Now, we are experiencing an administration that believes it can, and should, act in an authoritarian way to take away rights from immigrants, citizens, and anyone with whom they might disagree. This is not acceptable, not in line with the US Constitution and not at all peaceful. The tactics being used are those of authoritarian governments: divide and conquer. If we can be convinced to hate and fear others, those in power can do whatever they wish.
However, as people of Peace, we respect the dignity and rights of all and choose to find peace and joy within our hearts, in Mother Nature, in laughing with friends and neighbors, singing, dancing, and playing. Our peace, our happiness, our joy is an antidote to this nonsense.
Peace
is
Oneness
Inclusion
Acceptance
Compassion
Laughter
Joy
and
Kindness
What can we do? Speak up for democracy and the rights of everyone. We can treat everyone with dignity and respect, we can choose compassion and kindness instead of judgements, and we can remind ourselves and others that we truly do LOVE one another. We will not be divided or cowed by an administration that is focused on giving more to the uber rich. We can take a deep breath, be like Eleanor Roosevelt and speak up for what we know is right, loving, compassionate and peaceful.
Peace does not require us to love everyone although life is even more peaceful when we can. Peace simply asks us to accept, to include, and to remember that we are one with ALL our brothers and sisters.
“I am another you,
you are another me.”
- Rumi
As people of peace when we meet anyone, we can say: “Peace be with you.” When we look in the mirror, we can affirm: “Peace be with me.” We can choose thoughts and activities that bring us peace, and we can share our peace with family, friends, and neighbors.
Thank you for choosing peace in your thoughts, words, and actions.
Yours in peace and love always,
Donna
