If it would be peaceful for you, please let me know what keeps you from being peaceful and what you intend to do to bring more peace into your life and thereby into our world.
This gorgeous Painted Bunting seemed just right to me to represent intentionality because there is nothing wishy-washy or tentative about him. He is present, proud, and lusciously colorful. May his powerful presence fortify our commitment to peace.

PEACE OF INTENTIONALITY
Dear Friend in Peace,
When we want to see birds, we go where they can be seen and heard and are blessed by their precious presences. When we want to experience the joyous sounds of surf, we go to a beach where we are more likely to experience such soothing sounds. Whatever our goal, the forethought of intentionality and purposeful actions help us succeed.
As People of Peace, we too can use intentionality and purposeful actions to create the conditions for more peace in our lives. Much as we might find it convenient to ascribe our lack of peace in any given situation to someone or something else, if we truly wish to live peacefully, we must take responsibility to create more peace in our lives.
We ask ourselves two simple, vital questions:
1. What keeps me from being peaceful?
My responses: a) Fearful thoughts about our world. b) Being in crowded or noisy spaces. c) Pushing to do more than is peaceful.
2. What do I intend to do to make my life more peaceful?
My responses:
a) Accept the reality of our nation and our world just as they are and focus on remembering I love my friends, neighbors, fellow citizens, and all of humanity. We truly are one. Love brings me back home to peace. Also, I shall focus on seeing our nation come through these challenging times with a greater awareness of the importance of Liberty and Justice for ALL.
b) Whenever possible, I will avoid crowded or noisy spaces. They may be wonderful for many people, but they are not at all peaceful for me. I will continue to allow myself the vital blessings of being in Mother Nature as much as possible.
c) By realizing pushing to do more is a habit I developed as a single parent and a perfectionist, my problem has been half solved. I am the problem, and I choose to let those old patterns go. Instead I take more time for meditation, reading, and playing my gong, Tara. Recently, I started doing jigsaw puzzles agan and find them most peaceful too.
So what have I learned?
• Peace is my responsibility.
• Choosing and acting on the intention of being more peaceful changes everything.
• My peace matters to me and to everyone else because my peace goes forth into the world as vibrations of compassion, love, kindness, and profound serenity.
Now, it's your turn:
1. What keeps you from being peaceful?

2. What do you intend to do to make your life more peaceful?

My peace, your peace, our peace matters. Let's focus on making our lives more peaceful breath by breath!
Everyday we can ask ourselves:
• "How can I make my life more peaceful?
• What can I do or not do that will create conditions in my life which allow me to relax and let go into the peace that I truly am?"
Thank you for choosing peace in your thoughts, words, and actions.
Yours in peace and love always,
Donna
